Rookie Big Three, who went through national teams side by side in high school, including Hwang Yoo-min born in 2003, Kim Min-byeol born in 2004, and Bang Shin-sil, is showing the power of young blood hotter than ever, creating a new wind on the KLPGA Tour this season. 스포츠토토핫

The first of the three to enjoy the joy of winning was Bangshinsil. Bang Shin-sil, who finished 40th in the regular tour seed competition in November last year, tied for fourth at the KLPGA Championship in April, his first regular tour, and finally lifted the trophy at the E1 Charity Open in May, his fifth appearance. Bang Shin-sil, who was the first to win the title among the Rookie Big Three, quickly emerged as a star representing the tour with a cool long hit of nearly 300 yards.

Unlike Bangshin Room, Kim Min-byeol, who topped the seed ranking match, and Hwang Yoo-min, who ranked sixth, celebrated the opening of the season on the regular tour. Hwang Yu-min's start was not so good. After finishing in the top 10 at the Korean Women's Open, which was her 11th appearance of the season, she reached the top of the season at the Daeyu Winia-MBN Women's Open in July after a neck-and-neck race.

Kim Min-byeol is the player who has not won but has been showing the most steady performance since the beginning of the three. Starting with the Lotte Rent-a-Car Women's Open in Korea in April, she ranked within the top six in three consecutive tournaments, before losing in overtime in both the Korean Women's Open in June and Hwang Yoo-min's first victory in July. He also tied for second place in the KB Financial Star Championship, a major tournament that ended last week, ranking third and second in third place.

Then, who will take the honor of being the Rookie of the Year who can only receive it once in his life. As of the 14th, Kim Min-byul 2017 points, Hwang Yoo-min 1953 points, and Bang Shin-sil 1255 points ranked third. The gap between Kim Min-byul and Hwang Yoo-min is only 64 points, and the gap between Kim Min-byul and Bang Shin-sil is 698 points.

Unlike the target points, which give points by ranking up to 10th place in each tournament depending on the total prize money, the Rookie of the Year points give points by ranking to all those who pass the cut 60th place and add them up. The points that can be earned according to the ranking vary depending on the total prize money of the competition. If the total prize money is more than 600 million won to less than 800 million won, 230 points will be awarded for winning, and 270 points will be given for more than 800 million won to less than 1 billion won. If the total prize money is more than 1 billion won or if you win a major tournament, you will get 310 points, and if you finish second, you will get 160 points. If you rank 60th at the bottom, you get 85 points.

Since it is a point system, it is important to continue to win the Rookie of the Year award and to perform well in competitions with a large total prize money. This is why Kim Min-byeol, who has no championship, is ahead of Hwang Yoo-min and Bang Shin-sil. There are nine competitions left in the 2023 season, including the OK Financial Group Eutman Open total prize money of 800 million won, which will open at Club 72 Sky Course in Incheon on the 15th. All six competitions except for the SK Neckworks, Seoul Economic Ladies Classic (total prize money of 800 million won and S-OIL Championship total prize money of 900 million won in October.

Hwang Yoo-min, who is only 64 points behind Kim Min-byeol, as well as Bang Shin-sil, who is 698 points behind, have a chance to reverse. Kim Min-byul does not participate in the OK Financial Group's Eutman Open because he chooses to rest. Hwang Yoo-min tries to reverse it, while Bangshin-sil tries to narrow the gap. The competition for the Rookie of the Year is a point to watch until the end of the season.
