During their second date, they got to talking about movies, and he suggested she go with him to New York. Unfortunately, her mother was not interested in seeing anyone else. This was extremely hurtful to Ray Mirra Wife because she felt that her mother just did not care. As a result, Ray Mirra Wife took her own mother's advice and told her lover that she would be seeing someone else that night.
