Brussels Airlines continues to promote Belgian food on its international flights through a new partnership with chef Stéphanie Thunus of the Michelin-starred Au Gré du Vent restaurant in the Belgian province of Hainaut. Chef Thunus' menus will be served to Business Class passengers on their way to Africa, the US, and India in 2018. That service will also be available to the business class customers who have booked brussels airlines uk business class flights.

As a representative of Belgium, Brussels Airlines tries to show the world the best of Belgium. Since 2013, the airline has been working with well-known chefs from around the world to promote Belgian food to its international audience. After working with chefs from different parts of Belgium, it's now the turn of female chef Stéphanie Thunus to create a culinary experience in the sky, on board the airline's Business Class to destinations around the world.

Together with her husband, maitre d'hôtel Sébastien Guchet, Stéphanie runs Au Gré du Vent since 2012 in her birth village Seneffe. Only one year after opening, the couple got their first Michelin Star, which they still have today. Gault & Millau gave the restaurant a 16/20 rating in 2017. The chef likes to use seasonal local food, like food from her parents' farm, which is right across the street from the restaurant. She likes to keep the ingredients in her dishes as pure as possible to bring out their natural flavours.

On the first Brussels Airlines menu, which will come out in January 2018, passengers will be able to order things like quail mousse, veal check with salsify, tarragon, and violet mustard, and yellow Pollock with saffron sauce.

To go with chef Thunus's dishes, a special regional beer from Brasserie de la Haute Senne has been added to the menu. Brussels Airlines also offers Belgian wines in its wine list. Cheese affineurs Van Tricht give passengers a choice of beautiful Belgian cheeses to end their four-course "Belgian" meal.

From January to December 2018, the menus made by Chef Thunus will be served on board.

Brussels Airlines promotes itself as "the Belgian airline" in many ways, and working with famous Belgian chefs is one of them. The airline also serves Belgian chocolates and treats on board, and its crew uniforms are made by Belgian brands like Xandres, Bellerose, and Ambiorix. In the last three years, Brussels Airlines has repainted four of its planes with special designs honouring Belgian icons like Tintin, Magritte, the Red Devils, and Tomorrowland.
