What is a lift & Slide Door?
Lift and Slide doors are easy to operate. The door panels roll up and over the rail rather than sliding into it. This leaves more headroom at the top of the door, making them ideal for access ramps, skylight windows, or any other application where the space is tight at the top.Lift & slide doors are single leafs consisting of two track slats and one moving panel, which glide along the top track fixing the bottom track in place.
How does it function?
The door is locked and weather seals are engaged in compression. You simply turn the key 180 degrees, unlock the door, and as you pull it open, the wheels begin to roll, so you don't have to lift.
Slide Door & Lift System
Koemmerling has made traditional sliding doors new again with Lift & Slide Doors. Lift & Slide Doors are created for larger openings, offering a better view. Once you rotate the door 180°, it will lift off the seals and slide along its tracks. Koemmerling created this door so you could get the best of both worlds: easy turning and sliding.
