
Manaslu Trekking is one of the best trekking destinations in Nepal. It has very less travelers annually and is best for the trekkers who want to travel freely. It gives you the authentic experience of remote societies of the west-central part of Nepal. The Manaslu trekking route consists about 177 kilometers (110 miles) around the Manaslu massif over the pass down to Annapurna. The Nepalese Government only permitted trekking in this region in 1991. The trekking trail follows an ancient salt-trading route along the Budhi Gandaki River. Popularly known among trekkers, trekking in Manalsu, provides spectacular views of the various snow- capped mountains and glaciers of the Himalayas and also allows close interaction with the different ethnic groups of people living in the remote villages scattered along.
The main attraction of this Manaslu Circuit trekking is Mt Manaslu which is the eight highest mountains in the world standing at an altitude of 8,163 meters (26,781 ft) above sea level. It is located in the Mansiri himalayan range of Lamjung district. The word manaslu reflects the meaning “mountain of the spirit” which is indeed true speaking of how lively the mountain is. You can observe tons of peaks above 6500meters with few above 7000. Manaslu Conservation Area was established in 1998 to conserve and protect the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the region.
Known to have very unpredictable weather and climate in Manaslu mountain range; it falls among one of the most dangerous Himalayan range so, trekking in this trail is a challenging test of one’s ability and endurance.
