Methods for Creating a Simple, Beautiful, and Meaningful Home
Your home does not have to be flawless; it only needs to be meaningful. A home, in my opinion, should be a personal sanctuary that allows for meaningful life.
By this, I mean simplifying life so that you can enjoy the experiences and people that make it amazing, and being so fulfilled that you overflow and share your joy with others.
That style of life is difficult to maintain if you come home to a residence that is cluttered and chaotic, uninspired, or stressful!
Choose colors that are soothing.
Soothing colors will assist your entire home feel calm, giving YOU an immediate sensation of calm when you step into your artificial turf vancouver. Light, soothing colors on the walls also serve as a backdrop for the lovely and meaningful items you exhibit in your home. You want your eye to be drawn to that jar of sea glass from your vacation or the books you adore, not the eye-catching color on the wall! I strongly advise painting your entire home a bright and soothing soft white or off-white tone.
Purge, purge, and purge again.
Donate anything you don't use on a regular basis or that isn't exceptionally lovely and/or significant in your opinion. Then, put in place simple systems to keep the things you keep tidy and effective so that your home life is never frustrating. Everything should have a home!
Include natural ingredients.
Every home should include natural elements such as living plants, flowers, natural wood or stone, or even branches or driftwood. It helps to ground us and refresh our vitality when these things excite our senses on a daily basis.
Display any exceptional objects in the open.
Don't let design dictate your space - a room should have personal items that make you happy and are meaningful to you!
Hang your favorite work of art, whether it's your children's drawings, a family treasure, or a bizarre abstract sculpture that makes you grin.
Have images of those you care about.
Use objects purchased on vacation or for special events as useful items, such as a bowl in the foyer for keys.
Stack some of your favorite books on the couch or on the coffee table.
Bring your lovely antique chest or bench out of storage. If it brings back fond memories of Grandpa, keep it on hand to remind you of him on a regular basis!
Allow the light to enter.
Open your windows and give them a thorough washing. Ensure that any drapes or curtains are hung outside of the window frames and can be fully opened throughout the day. Open them up and let the sun's uplifting energy to enter. Consider painting your walls white to make your spaces feel lighter and allow the sun to bounce around more. Also, add enough ambient and task lighting for dark days and evenings.
