QUESTION #1: DO YOU HAVE A CERTAIN PLACE AT HOME FOR READING?
I read in my recliner and in a bed a bit although the bed I have now sucks ass.
QUESTION #2: BOOKMARK OR A RANDOM PIECE OF PAPER?
I don't need one if I'm reading an ebook. If I have a bookmark around I'll use it. I might leave upside down and open to the page. If all else fails I'm cool with some random piece of paper.
QUESTION #3: CAN YOU STOP READING ANYTIME YOU WANT OR DO YOU HAVE TO STOP AT A CERTAIN PAGE, CHAPTER, PART, ECT.?
I'm better at stopping because I read walk but I try to at least finish a sentence before I put the book or phone I'm reading on aside to go into a store or the library. Usually I prefer to stop at the end of a chapter or if that isn't possible a page that ends with a sentence. Sometimes chapters are really long but sometimes the chapter is broken up so I'll go with the end of that if the book has that type of chapter. I can't think right now of another author aside from Stephen King that does it but I know I've read other books by authors that do it.
QUESTION #4: DO YOU EAT OR DRINK WHILE READING?
I usually don't but sometimes. I don't always eat food when I'm reading but that can vary between a sandwich, chicken etc. Water or Dr Pepper.
QUESTION #5: CAN YOU READ WHILE LISTENING TO MUSIC/WATCHING TV?
I'm not a big music listener. I go through long periods without listening to it at all. I get migraines and headaches so loud stuff annoys me although I've always been able to read. Of course there's less reading done when it feels like I've been stabbed in the eye with an ice pick. I read during commercials. That is one downside about binging a show on Netflix the lack of commercials which means I can't read.
QUESTION #6: ONE BOOK AT A TIME, OR SEVERAL AT ONCE?
Ideally two would be great but I'm usually reading about three. It all depends on whether or not I'm able to download an ebook on both my Fire and my phone. I also throw in a physical book. An even more ideal scenario is having the book and the ebook so I'm able to read it when I'm out and at home. I tend to avoid reading in the same genre when I'm reading three books.
QUESTION #7: READING AT HOME OR EVERYWHERE?
I always have a book or my phone to read on. Screw calling people. I'm just reading on it. It does come in handy since the books I own aren't allowed to go outside. Library books I'll take out with it obviously. I'll read it line. I'll read walk.
QUESTION #8: READING OUT LOUD OR SILENTLY IN YOUR HEAD?
The only time I say something out loud is if I'm reacting to a book.
QUESTION #9: DO YOU READ AHEAD OR SKIP PAGES?
Not really but I do think there have been times when there were footnotes or something that I just ignored. I don't skip ahead. If I don't like a book I just put it down. Since I was curious about one book that I put down I found a review that revealed the ending and boy was I glad I put down that book because it was beyond dumb.
QUESTION #10: BREAKING THE SPINE OR KEEPING IT NEW?
I like taking care of my books. Yep I apologize if I accidentally drop one. I did have a mishap with one of my Sword Of Truth books.
QUESTION #11: DO YOU WRITE IN BOOKS?
I just don't get it. If you want to do that I'm fine with it but I see no reason to. When I reread a book I actually reread the book. I don't go and pick up a book and read certain spots that I marked with post its or whatever. Original link
