Very, very long agoAnd once upon a timeI wrote a silly poemThat had no rhythm or rhyme
The words were really sillyAnd made no sense at allAnd whosoever heard itWould either cry or bawl
They would all yell at meAnd ask me to please stopBut I refused to believeThat my poem was a flop
I made many copies of itAnd stuck them on pizzas and piesBut then no one would eat themAnd they would attract just flies
So I read it to trees and flowersAnd I read it to the skiesI read it to imps and fairiesWho I felt were more wise
They pondered and wonderedAt what my poem meantThey had meetings over itAnd many a weeks they spent
But since they never understoodThey decided not to take stressThey accepted and awarded meAnd declared my silly poem the best
