By the grace of Allah Almighty, I’ve successfully completed the obligation of performing Hajj once in a lifetime. I can’t thank Allah enough for this blessing. My words just can’t describe my happiness and satisfaction. Hajj is such an important ritual that not only purifies your soul but gives you a reward of a rank in Jannah. It is also Sunnah of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) and unlike Umrah, he had performed Hajj only once. “Hajj is for everyone” and you should perform it whenever you get the chance because you never know what is going to happen next. I had performed Hajj in 2018 with my Husband and Alhamdulillah it was a very satisfying journey. No doubt, there was an immense crowd as millions and millions of people were there to mark their presence. Everyone was busy performing their practices step by step starting from the most important step of Tawaf-e-Ka’bah. Seeing everyone worshipping the one God is quite regenerative and fills you with stronger faith.
I’ve always been very close to Allah Almighty but there was a time in my life when I completely lost myself. I got so depressed that I stop believing everything but there was still something inside me that believes in the divine creator. It’s the point that comes in everyone’s life and they start losing themselves. But it’s my suggestion not to lose hope as the difficult time passes away doesn’t matter how hard it is. Then my husband planned to embark on the spiritual journey of Hajj. I was lost and finding myself at that time due to some personal reasons. I wasn’t mentally ready to make this pilgrimage but somehow managed to accept my husband’s request. We prepared ourselves completely to go on the greatest spiritual path. After searching a lot of Hajj packages we get the best budget-friendly yet luxurious one. We did not feel uncomfortable at any point in our journey.
It was the first time when I was entering Saudi Arabia with my husband. I met a lot of people in flight, bus, and started knowing each other. Moreover, when we started the practices of Hajj, I felt some sort of energy and enthusiasm in myself. Hajj involves a variety of practices to be performed step by steps such as Tawaf-e-Ka’bah, Mount Arafat, Muzdalifah, Stoning of the Devil, Running between Al-Safa and Al- Marwa, Mina, Farewell Tawaf. MashaAllah I did every ritual with full love and devotion. Performing these practices, I feel myself closest to Allah (SWT) and never get tired of praying. It was my turning point, I start spending more time reading about the Day of Resurrection, reciting Quran-e-Pak and Durood-e-Pak, and understanding the historical perspectives of Islam.
I have a variety of emotional and incredible moments to share with you. Yes, Hajj is the hardest journey and you struggle a lot to accomplish it. Hajj tests you and you’ve to pass this test to get paradise. But on the last day of Hajj Muslims tend to sacrifice Animals to commemorate the actions of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) as they were willing to sacrifice his son in the path of Allah Almighty. Muslims celebrate this as Eid-ul-Adha which remains for three days. You get to celebrate your success of Hajj and then move to Medina to visit the sacred places.
The most important point that I was afraid of before going was the crowd. The feeling of anxiety arose that how would I perform all the rituals in millions of people. Once you are a part of a crowd you don’t feel uncomfortable but I always tell people that all you need at that time is just patience and a lot of patience. Have faith in Allah Almighty that you are there for Him and He is seeing you praying. My serious advice is not to delay Hajj because of any sort of fear or minor problems. Once you reach there you can overcome everything easily. When we were performing Tawaf al Wida it was a very unhappy moment because we were leaving the House of Allah (SWT) by not knowing we will come back here not. But I have always thanked God that he grants us such an amazing and lifetime blessing as I turned back to Him.
My story of Hajj was a quite moving experience and I believe it sharing it because it can help many other people like me. If you are the one who is depressed, lacks enthusiasm, and those having less budget, I strongly recommend you to perform Hajj in 2021 by availing a variety of the cheapest Hajj packages 2021. Life rarely gives another chance so never miss it if you get it. As we all are aware that there are people who planned to perform Hajj in 2020 but failed due to an unexpected pandemic. This is how life goes so, if you have enough finances then don’t miss the opportunity in 2021.
