1. An author you'd like to read (that you've never read before).
I just started reading The Crown Tower by Michael Sullivan. I was at the library and it was just waiting there demanding I pick it up and read it. I also want to finally get around to reading Robin Hobb,Juliet Marillier, and Philippa Gregory.
2. A book you'd like to read.
Before The Devil Breaks You by Libba Bray but I don't want to associate the series with migraines. I got a migraine while reading the first one. I stopped reading the second one when a migraine came on and I'm still shaking a recent migraine so I'm putting it on hold so I can have my hands on all three copies so I can just read my way through.
3. A classic you'd like to read.
I'm not sure which one but I want to read a Charles Dickens book. Maybe Great Expectations.
4. A book you'd like to re-read.
The Diviners by Libba Bray
5. A book you've had for ages and want to read.
Assassins Apprentice by Robin Hobb
6. A big book you'd like to read.
Not sure. I do want to reread The Shining before reading Doctor Sleep.
7. An author you've previously read and want to read more of.
So far I've read two Meg Cabot books and I want to read more. I love her writing style.
8. A book you got for Christmas and would like to read.
I already did that. I got The New Year's Party by RL Stine and read it the other day.
9. A series you want to read (start and finish)
The Mediator series by Meg Cabot.
10. A series you want to finish (that you've already started)
I want to go back and reread/catch up on The Vampire Chronicles/Mayfair Witches series by Anne Rice. There's crossovering so I just consider them one series. I also want to catch up on the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire.
11. Do you set reading goals? If so, how many books do you want to read in 2018?
Not really. I put a goal of 100 but I am more curious about how many I read in a year instead of a specific number.
12. Any other reading goals?
I want to not get caught up in hype. If it is an author I adore like Seanan McGuire I'm not going to bother with most of the books that people are talking about since it often turns out to be disappointing. Obviously I'm gong to read the third book in the Wayward Childrens series. If it is an author I'm already reading or it sounds like something I'd be interested in I might check it out. I find it strange when people just let other people decide what they read and don't read.
