What is excluded from collision coverage:

Injury to another driver's vehicleInjuriesWeather-related automotive damage, including that caused by hail or flooding,Auto TheftThe cost of fixing a fence or utility pole that you crashed intoComprehensive auto insurance will pay to repair or replace your vehicle if it is damaged by anything other than accidents with other vehicles or objects (including trees) or theft. When getting an automobile loan or lease, comprehensive insurance is frequently necessary and is offered along with collision insurance.

Damage to your vehicle that is not the result of an accident, such as that caused by animals, bad weather, or other environmental causes, is not covered by collision insurance. You also won't be compensated for any harm done to your vehicle while it's parked. Among the things that collision insurance does not pay for are the following:

Storm, fire, or water damageNatural catastrophe damageAccidents involving deer or other big animalsAccidental medical costsInflicting harm on another person's possessionsLoss due to theft or vandalismDamage caused by anything falling upon the car (tree, boulder, etc.)Insurance for accidents is not a monolithic Band- Help with any car problems. What your collision coverage won't pay forAccidental property damageLoss resulting from calamities such as hailstorms and floodsCost of healthcareAnimal collision injuries (like a deer)Remember that collision insurance only pays for repairs to your car, not the other driver's.
