Free Games that you and your friends can play
Some people want to play Free Games with their friends, too. This is also how we feel when we can't leave our house for a long time or when there is a lockdown.

Print media have been hurt a lot by the growth of the Internet. Games magazines would be near the top of a list of things that should die. There is a lot of news on blogs and websites that used to only be in magazines and newspapers once a month. Even small bits of news and screenshots can be posted right away on these blogs and websites.

But some of the best gaming blogs also have insightful reviews and sharp analysis, while others just make you laugh out loud for hours on end. Our sister site, GameSpot UK, has a blog called London Calling that has all of this and more. We couldn't really take them, could we? We have found the ten best ones that aren't right next to us.

It's number nine.
Because it has so many different kinds of news and other things, Shacknews is one of those sites that blurs the line between a blog and a news site. Even though a lot of blogs look for the same things, it's still worth reading because it still has exclusives and new ways of looking at the same things.

That blog is about video games.
Another blog that goes beyond the headlines and often has posts that are just as interesting to people who work in the games industry as they are to people who play games. It walks a fine line, but it does it with style. It's simple and easy to read, making it a good choice for a break.

The EU has been fighting Britain.
Come here to hear about how Sega, Sony, and Suzanne Shaw are always bad. Don't come here every day expecting to find 20 news stories. Not because UKR is a blog written by fans. It's always funny to the point where you won't want to drink tea in front of your computer screen again.

The number one game is Touch the Arcade.
Apple's recent attacks on Nintendo and Sony show how important iPhone gaming is. Touch Arcade is a blog that writes about this new and growing field. It has news, hands-on previews, and a forum where game developers talk about their new games.

The Guardian's Games Blog is a blog for a broadsheet newspaper, so it doesn't hurry to get press releases and screenshots. Instead, it takes a more balanced approach by giving analysis, interviews, and opinions. Always easy to understand and makes you think sometimes.

Destructoid is the fourth game on this list.
A lot of blogs just repeat news about games, but none of the ones that do that are on this list. You can tell that Destructoid is one of the game blogs with a unique style. It is always sharp and never gets dull.

The third is VG247.
This blog has a lot more going for it than any of the other UK blogs on this list. It just won three awards from the Games Media Awards. Also, the writing is very good, and there is some humor to make it more interesting. Joystiq has many posts every day and is one of the two biggest gaming blogs out there. They put up news stories as soon as they come out, and when they can, they try to get first-hand information. This book is a must-have for anyone who wants to learn more about games.

Kotaku is the name of the game.
Because Kotaku and Joystiq are in such strong competition with each other, many of the stories on both sites are about the same things, making it hard to decide which one to read. Kotaku, on the other hand, is funnier, but its writers don't take it too far.
