Partners are Considered among Visa Cancellation by INZ

Immigration New Zealand has confirmed the cancellation of visas of people who applied for visitor visas to get to reunite with their partners. Also, the Government has decided to refund more than fifty thousand applications. Among all, canceled temporary visas are on the waiting list.

The move includes a series of changes related to how to deal with couples engaged in an arranged marriage. A directive to stop waiving the living together requirement led to a political storm in 2019 that finally led to a compromise.
