In Path of Exile, though Royale have been ended, I want to tell you some useful tips about how to win Royale, and don't forget that having enough chaos orbs poe can make things easier.
1. Before the round starts, equip your weapon and configure your left and right click to move only and attack respectively.
2. When the round starts, go immediately to a crate and pick up ANY skill you find and a weapon you can use it with.
3. Farm low level monsters and start looting.
4. Look for: Quicksilver Flasks, Medium Mana Flasks, Lesser Poison, Chance to Bleed, Ruthless, Maim, Volley, Mirage Archer, Frostblades, Freezing pulse, Ice shot? And Split Arrow.
5. Do not unnecessarily fight enemy players. continue to move inwards so there is better loot.
6. Do not aggro the arctic helions, the snakes in the vaal area, or the Rare Rhoas, unless you have a freezing skill.
7. Most important of all, keep farming for EXP, don't take too long to loot. Prioritize links over actual stats when it comes to boots,helms, or body armor. Weapon wise go for Quill Rain, Lifesprig, and any weapons with + flat ele/phys damage.
Everytime I won it was because I had the highest level, not from kills but from farming. Of course the element of luck here is spawning relatively close/within the circle, finding split arrow/frost blades in the first 30 seconds, but i have seen people with tabula, quill rain, mirage archer, chance to bleed, AND split arrow die because they were low level.
