Seven years have passed since the heroine parted ways with her chosen one, Frederick. Separation was necessary because parents did not approve of the lovers' union. After a long time, she is given the opportunity to correct a past mistake and rebuild a relationship with a man she once rejected. Ann, on the other hand, is paralysed by fear of the social stigma she will face.
