Piercing - Is It Right For You?

Body piercing, also known as a body modification, is essentially the process of cutting or puncturing a specific portion of your body, either to insert an alien implant, or so that jewelry can be worn. But body piercings aren't limited to these kinds of modifications; there are many others, including ear pinning, eyebrow jewelry, navel piercings, nose jobs, lip piercings, and tongue piercings. But whatever the reason for getting body piercings, they're great ways to express yourself!

When you're choosing a body piercing, it's important to understand how professional body piercings studios make their work. For example, a nostril piercing, which involves inserting an artificial nose into each nostril, can be a long process, taking from half an hour to several hours, depending on how many nostrils you have, and the strength of the piercing. Nipple piercings, on the other hand, are much faster and can usually be done in less than ten minutes.

There are some things you need to consider when you're in a body piercing studio. First of all, the studio should be clean and sanitary, with well-trained and experienced staff. The second thing to consider is whether or not you can wear traditional clothing while you get your piercing. While jewelry in these areas will be visible, such as on your arms or legs, it's probably not a good idea to wear scrubs or other such conservative clothing at a piercing studio. As a matter of fact, your choice of clothing will affect the type of piercing you receive - some types are more noticeable than others, and you don't want to end up with a piercing that looks nothing like the one you were looking forward to.

It's also important to remember that the piercer is going to put a little mark on your body in order to create the hole for your new jewelry! You don't want a big ugly scar, do you? So be sure to ask the piercer questions about the procedure they use before you agree to have it done. If you don't ask any questions, then the Piercer is probably using an outdated and dangerous technique. Always insist on talking to someone who is very knowledgeable about piercings, and who has been doing it for a while.

Also, when you visit a piercing studio, try to find out if they offer classes. I can't tell you how many people end up at a piercing studio with no idea how to do it properly, and thus, have a bad experience. Make sure the teacher at the class knows what they're doing, has a lot of experience, and is happy for you to watch them in action! A good teacher will be glad to show you everything from the beginning, and will be glad to answer any questions you may have along the way.

Finally, the best way to make sure you have a great time at the piercing studio, is to remember that you are there to have fun. Don't let yourself be pressured into buying anything you don't like or at the cost of feeling embarrassed. Remember, you were born to be piercing, so enjoy it! Even if you do get your body pierced, don't feel like it is something to be ashamed of. In fact, if it turns you on, then it is definitely worth it!
