The pristine island is around 70 kilometres away from the capital city Port Blair. It is the most famous island amongst the entire islands in Andaman. The island offers a perfect blend of tropical jungle and white sandy beaches to mark your vacation well. Havelock Island's absence of urban development is perhaps one of the most remarkable features.

The island has a relatively low population demography, allowing travellers to get as near to wilderness and nature as possible without having to visit a lot of islands in Andaman. Havelock Island has breathtaking splendour and an amazing sense of solitude. Adventure sports like snorkelling and scuba diving, as well as superb seafood, make it a popular destination for tourists and aficionados.

Here is the list of things to do and places to explore that you don’t want to miss while on Havelock Island.

Elephant Beach

Elephant Island, renowned for its immaculate majesty of corals and reefs, is host to intriguing marine life. Elephant beach can be reached by either a motorboat trip or a leisurely 1.8 km stroll through the gorgeous mangrove jungle. The Beach is home to a variety of diving and snorkelling centres, making it the perfect destination for all maritime enthusiasts.

Radhanagar Beach

One of the best beaches in Andaman the Radhanagar beach is highly rated by different magazines and institutions due to its astonishing natural beauty. One can witness the golden dusk and dawn at the beach, not exaggerating but it is going to be the best sun view of your life

Neil's Cove is a nice calm tourist attraction where you can appreciate the ambience. The crystal blue water makes it more ideal for sporting activities.

Kalapathar Beach

The name Kalapathar is because of the black strand rocky path that moves parallel to the shoreline. The black rocks that line the shorelines stand out against the shimmering beach. The beach is surrounded on all sides by thick green vegetation. . The beachfront, which is blessed with gorgeous natural flora, trees, and a blue sea, is relatively tranquil and serene because fewer people are strolling about it. This makes it a peaceful destination for couples.

Vijay Nagar Beach

Sometimes called the lone mangrove, The Vijay Nagar beach. It is a perfect destination for couples who are seeking out solitude. A relaxed walk along the beach in the evenings is heavenly. The beach has a tranquil setting and white silky sands surrounded by gorgeous sea shells, making every moment spent herein truly unforgettable.

Barren Island- The only active volcano

Because the island is virtually abandoned by people, it is home to a diverse range of unusual animal and bird species found. Seaplane rides and nature walks are popular activities on the island. Tour businesses carry guests all around the island to see the beautiful vegetation and animals. As there are no regular rides to this island one can charter a boat or cruise to explore this island from the Havelock harbour.

Above are the major beaches and tourist attraction that are highly preferred when one consider vacating Havelock. But there is a lot more left in and around Havelock island that one can tour if the time permits such as Guitar island, Laxmanpur Beach, Bharatpur beach and, a few others. And as far as the water activities are concerned this island is a top-notch spot due to the crystal clear water along with all the facilities necessary for a complete marine sporting experience in Andaman
