If your Playstation can't start, we're here to help! Unfortunately, this is a common problem with this game console, but we know something that we can try on our own and may work again. Sometimes the cause of the problem is not a simple solution, but sometimes it is. Let's take a look at some of the most common reasons for this problem.
Power cable : Sometimes the cause of the problem is simply that the power cord is not completely plugged into the back of the Playstation. Check to make sure that the power cord is firmly embedded in the plug on the back of the console. If it looks inappropriate and it is very loose, then you may need to buy another power cord.
Power strip : If you plug the device into a power strip, try inserting it directly into the wall. Sometimes plugging in a power strip may cause the game console to have no power issues. Plugging it directly into the wall is an ultra-fast and simple test that tells you if there is a problem with the power strip.
Bugs : One of the most common reasons for the unbootable PlayStation is that it has a bug. If you see any type of bug coming in and out of your PlayStation, and it won't open, then it's likely that these bugs have caused damage inside the console. Unfortunately, if it have caused damage internally, you will not be able to fix it as long as you remove it... it needs to be repaired before it can work again. Remember that even if you fix it, if they are bugs in your house or apartment, they will immediately return to the console. The game console is a perfect bug house... they are nice, dark and warm.
Electricity failure : This is not as common as some other reasons, but it does happen. Sometimes components inside the power supply get bad and cause it to fail to open. If you try everything else on this list without any impact, your power may be poor.
Bad power button : Sometimes the Playstation power button can cause problems that cannot be turned on. On the original Playstation console, they placed a touch-sensitive button on it. The button has a metal plate inside the housing and then touches the copper pad on the motherboard. If this piece of metal is bent or improper, it may result in no power problem. This is especially common for open and/or dropped consoles. Sometimes these can be fixed by removing the top cover and bending the metal sheet back in place, but sometimes they need a new top plastic cover to work again. An easy way to check this is to insert the console into the wall and press the eject button. If the eject button is valid, then you know it may be just a power button problem.
