What does a PMI certification actually mean?
The Project Management Institute (PMI) is a professional organization that issues certifications (PMI). A PMI certification, which ranges from entry-level to advanced, broad to specialist, can assist early-career professionals to develop their careers or strengthen the know-how of seasoned project managers.
The need for project management abilities in the job market may make a PMI credential useful. According to the PMI, the global economy would require 25 million more project managers by 2030.

How do I get a PMI certification?

1. Comply with the conditions. You must fulfill a unique set of prerequisites for each PMI certification in order to take the exam for that certification. Make sure you have a record of any relevant project management experience before submitting an application.
2. Apply. Once you believe you are eligible for an exam, you can create an account with PMI and submit an application for certification. Once you've been given the go-ahead, you can schedule an exam and pay the exam fee.
3. Pass the test. Multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot, and fill-in-the-blank questions are frequently seen on certification exams, which typically last three to four hours. A panel review could be a requirement for some advanced certifications as part of the certification procedure.
4. Keep your certification current. For three years, each PMI certification is valid. To keep your certification during that period, you must accumulate a predetermined number of PDUs (professional development units). PDUs are the number of hours you invest in your project management certification field when studying, instructing, or volunteering (so 30 PDUs will translate to 30 hours of your time). Depending on your certification, you may need to complete a certain amount of PDUs each year to maintain it.
