While PMP is more knowledge-based, PRINCE2's methodology is process-based.There is an official manual for PRINCE2 called "Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2." For the PMP, however, the PMBOK is regarded as a bible, and the exam is heavily based on it (Project Management book of Knowledge). The framework for PRINCE2 is built on the top practices currently being used in the project context. The framework for the PMP is descriptive and based on knowledge domains like cost, risk factor, etc.Seven mandatory principles make up the integrated set of themes and processes known as PRINCE2.A knowledge-based strategy for project management is used by PMP.The manager using the PRINCE2 technique must respond to "What," "When," and "Who" inquiries. The "How" is what PMP project managers consider and work on.While PRINCE2 is driven by business cases, PMP is driven by customer requirements.
