It has been reported that Vladmir Putin, the President of Russia, faced a near-death experience whilst travelling in a limousine. The news has come from an unconfirmed source. The source says that this assasination attempt was a response to the war in Ukraine.
Passengers reportedly heard a very loud bang which came from the vehicle's left front wheel. Following this, the limo was filled with heavy smoke. The driver managed to get the vehicle to safety and Putin remained unscathed.
Putin was returning to his home in a decoy amod intense security concerns, the anti-Kremlin channel claimed. This reportedly included five armoured vehicles, with Putin riding in the third.
An anti-Kremlin channel commented:
“On the way to the residence, a few kilometres away, the first escort car was blocked by an ambulance, [and] the second escort car drove around without stopping [due to the] sudden obstacle, and during the detour of the obstacle.
“Subsequently, the body of a man was found driving [the] ambulance, which blocked the first car from the motorcade,” said SVR General.
Multiple arrests have been made within his security service. The General SVR Telegram channel indicates that additional bodyguards have left after allegations that private information about the Kremlin leader's whereabouts were exposed.
“The head of the president's bodyguard [service] and several other people have been suspended and are in custody,” claimed the channel, without naming anyone. “A narrow circle of people knew about the movement of the president in this cortege, and all of them were from the presidential security service.
Putin, like many political leaders, has become known for travelling in high-end vehicles. In Europe, politicians are renowned for their eye-watering costs involving Rolls Royce Phantom hire, limo hire and luxury car hire - and it seems Putin is no different.
