Way 1: Use Quickbooks Database Server Manager

If you are not having the tool then follow the installation steps to install the QuickBooks database server manager on your device. 

Try to start the Quickbooks installer and the installation wizard. 

Check the internet connectivity and now click on the next tab.

Shut all the running programs now.

After that, hit on the next tab and visit the terms and conditions.

Select next again.

Moving on, choose from custom or network options.

Choose the way of installation from the two choices.

Hit on Yes and then on allow.

Give your Product and License Number.

Again hit on Yes.

 After completing the installation, we need  to use this tool with further steps that follow:

Visit the start button and tap on Programs. 

Next, hit on Programs and choose Quickbooks Database Server Manager.

Click on the scan folders.

Find that folder that is having a QB file.

If you are unable to find then scan the entire disk.

Followed by hitting the scan.

Way 2: Update Quickbooks Database Server Manager

If the error is not resolved then it indicates that the tool is not compatible with the Quickbooks version installed in the system. So, we will try to update the QuickBooks database server manager

Start the procedure by downloading the update patch of the tool.

Now reboot the system if the installation had completed.

Way 3: Repair the Company File

Search for the QB file that has an extension .QBW

Now hold the CTRL button to access the Quickbooks software.

No Company Open Window will pop up.

Tap on the open or restore an existing company in this step.

Way 4: Stop Hosting Multi-User Access

Start the process by moving to the File menu and tap on the Quickbooks file menu.

Just tap on Utilities and select Stop Hosting multi-user access.

Restart the software now.

Next, tap on program settings and disable the Internet Monitor feature.

If the system has ESET NOD32 antivirus then add OLD as the extension.

Now, you are eligible to use Quickbooks after restarting. 

Way 5: Shut the Processes 

Try to log into the PC with the administrator credentials. 

Hit CTRL + Shift + Esc keys to launch Task Manager.

Just select the Users option.

After completing these tasks, highlight Quickbooks processes like qbupdate.exe, EXE and QBDBM.exe

Tap on the end task now.

Way 6: Modify the Name of .ND Extension

To begin, access the QB file that has.ND extension.

The company file shows error 6010, try to access it now.

Select the rename option in this step.

Next, just add OLD as an extension.

Way 7: Running QuickBooks File Doctor

Click and “Run Quickbooks File Doctor”. Wait for the tool to open, this usually takes a minute

If it fails to open then you can browse “QuickBooks Desktop File Doc” to manually access it.

Select the company file inside Quickbooks file doctor. Note-  For some reason, if you fail to spot your file then you can tap on “Browse and search the file.

Then select the option “Check Your File” followed by clicking “Continue”.

Fill in your assigned QB admin password and select “Next”.
