Building collections of Mods can be expensive, assuming you continue to maintain compatibility with future devices when you purchase the Motorola ecosystem.
Mod is not everything Moto Z3 Play offers. The front camera has many new features such as movie images and portrait mode. It also offers an 18: 9 AMOLED display and a very robust Snapdragon 636 chipset for $ 499.
Design:
The shape and size of Moto Z3 Play are very similar to those of the predecessor. The reason is to maintain compatibility with 14 released Moto Mods. In the end, Motorola wants you to buy an ecosystem. If there are 6 mods, you can use it when buying the next phone, so I bought a new Moto Z.
A completely different problem is that the phone is made of glass, not metal this time. Its deep blue seems to be sexy, but to be honest, glass breaks rather than metal. It\'s the first mobile phone in the Moto Z series that includes an 18: 9 screen; they were 16: 9. A six-inch screen does not mean it was. If it is six inches to 16: 9, it will be a much larger device and the screen will have a larger area in the same way.
Moto Mods:
You will notice that there are 16 pins on the back of the phone to connect to Moto Mods. When I reviewed the Moto Z2 Force last year, I did not, although since then Motorola sent me a variety of Mods and I got the idea.
Most Moto Mods come out of the box with plug-and-play functionality. Just plug one of them into the Moto Z3 Play.
Best of all, so far, all new devices are compatible with older mods. If you upgrade from the original Moto Z and have a Mods collection, you can still use them. For me, this is the main Moto Z value proposition. If you absolutely do not plan to place one of these things on your phone, this device may not be for you.
Camera:
Motorola has added two important new features to its camera: Z3 Play: the portrait mode of the front camera and the Cinema Graph. Personally, I like the interesting features that Motorola integrates with its camera software.
Other interesting features include spot colors, which allow you to keep one color and keep the rest of the picture as a single color when you take a picture.
