The RMA Group entered the Cambodian market in 1992 as a provider of dedicated system solutions for commercial and non-commercial enterprises in the sectors of infrastructure, energy, and logistics. At the time Cambodia was truly uncharted territory for American companies, but there was an immediate need of quality equipment to help with the development of the country, and American products were in high demand.
A few years later, RMA’s founder, Kevin Whitcraft, brought together the small number of American businessmen in the country to found the American Chamber of Commerce (at that time it was known as the American Cambodian Business Council), which has played a fundamental role in facilitating American invest into the Kingdom over the last 25 years.
Gradually, RMA has grown alongside the development of Cambodia and expanded to automotive, agricultural and heavy equipment, cleaning equipment, food and beverage, MEP, and sales of parts for such equipment, including service support. In 1997 RMA became the local distributer for Ford Motor Company, and sold an impressive two vehicles that year.
