First step:

You need to do some research on Google and find a big company that is licensed. So read the information provided on their website and stay away from ones with bad websites that don't look professional. Some websites have grammar and other language mistakes  scrap car removal    which should give you an idea of not to deal with them. If your vehicle is missing any parts or has flat tires you should let them know so they send you the right type of tow truck. Parts missing from your car, truck, van, or SUV could affect the cash you will be receiving.

Second step:

Call them and ask the following questions:

1. Are you a licensed company and how long you been in business?

2. Do you give a receipt or bill of sale?

3. Do you provide free towing?

4. Do you pay cash on the spot?

5. Are your prices guaranteed?

Third step:

Book an appointment and have them come pick up your vehicle on your schedule and not theirs. Remove your personal items first along with your license plates. (I will also explain why you need your license plates back)

Fourth step:

Once they arrive you should be getting cash on the spot and don't forget to ask for a receipt or bill of sale while keeping half of the ownership yourself. You need to give them half of the registration/ownership which you should sign and date first and no need to fill up the info on the buyer portion because this vehicle will be recycled and not put back on the road.

Fifth step:

Finally, if the vehicle is out of your way, now you have to take half of the ownership, the bill of sale or the receipt, and your license plates if you had any to the ministry within 90 days so the vehicle comes out of your name!! Not going to the ministry and having the vehicle come off your name could cause many problems simply because you are still responsible for it; even though, you signed the back of the registration. So I highly recommend that you follow my advice on how to deal with recycling your vehicle in a very safe way. I wish you luck but you be fine if you follow these five steps correctly.
