The use of social networks is growing and affects everyone's lives. Sometimes we get fake calls from phone number all zeros digit on many social platforms and face different troubles from such calls. However, it has advantages and positives, but also negatives. Social media addiction is believed to be as dangerous as drugs and alcohol. Young people are exposed to experiences that could endanger their lives due to social media at an age where sensitive and emotional issues are important. Excessive use of social media is detrimental to the well-being and health of users, especially young people. This can cause serious health problems that cannot be taken lightly. It affects the academic success of individuals and relationships, perception of reality, and body image. How can we tell if we're obsessed with social networks?

  • Have you spent too many hours online on social networking sites? What do you think about social media? Or intend to be involved with social media when not on the internet?
  • Do you randomly, unconsciously, spend a long time using Facebook or other social networks?
  • Do you overlook the issues in your personal life when you use social media?
  • Did you try to limit your use of social media but have failed?

The reason why people are conscious about getting liked on social media

This is now a kind of obsession with “likes” for posts published via social networking sites. The Like button was more than just the person's reaction placing it. The meanings of being loved, accepted, and appreciated, accepted, and loved are related to the individual. Although people feel more comfortable when they are liked, they have a bad feeling about being disliked less. It can also be described as a negative and positive effect on an individual's self-esteem.

In the same way, it affects a person's self-esteem. The concept of liking on social media pushes people down the path of depression and loneliness and causes a sense of detachment from their identity. Therefore, insecurity can also be perceived as a lack of self-confidence. Therefore, the influence of social media significantly influences the mental state of an individual. So we can consider social media as an addiction for people of all age groups.
