The offense is pretty bland. It's improved since the inclusion of Amari Cooper Mut 24 Coins, but it's not that different. It's Amari Cooper playing. Thursday was a good example.
This touchdown came from a quick catch and a long sprint. The second was a good catch that was caught in triple coverage and Cooper was able to get free and was able to bring it home. Cooper's been worth the 1st round draft selection so far, and people like me who claimed he wasn't have to accept the truth. Even though Cooper has made the offense better and has improved the team's overall performance, I'm not sure he's helped Dak Prescott significantly better.
What Cooper has done is opened up the run game a little. It's a patchwork Cowboys offensive line was able to run the ball well yesterday. That used to be their strategy for success and they are getting back to it. But , again, they've got one formula that works. It's not a formula that will allow them to win over the long haul, however.
The biggest thing the Cowboys have going for them is easily their defense. It's fast. It's physically demanding, and they can rush the passer. It's the defense that offers the team a chance of winning each and every week. I enjoy watching this defense play. They take on the Saints this Thursday, so they will get the most rigorous test. We'll be able to be more objective after the game
