She will look beautiful and that is obvious. Had she ever looked so beautiful when she had been to those dates with me? Will she keep her straightened hair open as the way I like it or it would be something different? I guess it would her day of marriage, the day every girl waits for and so she would be trying some floral hairdo or elegant bouffant. She would dress up to make others realise her charm ignoring what she ever best suits in. She would dress up in red for her man. I hope he realises the chubby mischievous girl which she is. She is not the girl which she would dress up on that day. She is the girl who loves discovering hills, discovering food joints across the city, getting drunk. She will have to be sober and behave gentle for the rest of her life. The burdens of family respect associated with a bride shall be imposed on her. She would be a toy who would be made to dance in the tunes what is thought to be the norms for social acceptance of a bride. She would no longer dance in the country music songs played in those not so expensive speakers at the roadside dhabas. I envy the lucky man who would be placing the strand of her fallen hair back to her ears for the rest of her life. I will be missing her sleeping face on my chest with occasional low decibel snoring sounds and sleep talks. I will be missing the beautiful bride who I always thought would be the lady for whom I would be cooking until when I get old or we lose our teeth.Original link
