Take-profit is the opposite of stop-loss. It's the point at which you stop playing because you're winning. Most players don't use take-profit at all. They play until they stop winning, which usually means they give back their profits. A take-profit of 50-100% of your session bankroll is reasonable. When you hit it, stop immediately. Withdraw the profit or lock it in your account for the next session. I started using take-profit after realizing that 70% of my winning sessions turned into losing sessions because I played too long. Some platforms allow you to set win limits — on the site supports this feature.

The take-profit percentage should be lower for high-volatility games (30-50%) and higher for low-volatility games (100-150%).

Never adjust your take-profit upward mid-session because "you're on a roll." That's how rolls end. Set it before you start and stick to it.
