Automobile Engineering Distance Education is valid only in the part-time mode as it is a technical course for which physical learning is mandatory. The government of India has banned B.Tech in Automobile Engineering in completely online or completely distance mode. In the part-time mode, the classes are held either in the evening or on weekends and holidays. This part-time mode of Automobile Engineering is a hybrid mode of education where the theoretical part of the program is instructed through online and distance mode, while for practical learning, there are physical classes and lab sessions at the university or their designated centres present in various cities.

Also known as Automotive Engineering or Vehicle Engineering, Automobile Engineering is a part of mechanical engineering that deals extensively with different theories and technologies involved in manufacturing automobiles. As an automobile engineer, you will have to nurture automobiles from their concept stage up to the manufacturing and testing stage. The automobile engineering courses teach you all aspects involved in the manufacturing of an automobile like designing, developing, manufacturing, testing, repairing, and maintaining automobiles by making use of features of mechanical, electronic, electrical, safety, and software engineering. You learn to work on all types of vehicles whether big or small. It includes all types of two-wheeler, four-wheeler, and larger vehicles like trucks.

Automobile Engineering Distance Learning Courses can be pursued either as a degree program or as a diploma program. A B.Tech in Automobile Engineering Distance Learning is a 4 years undergraduate degree program or 3 years for lateral entry. It is a great program for professionals who wish to join specifically the automobile industry early on in their careers. It is a great chance as even the working professionals can pursue this degree simultaneously with their jobs.

University Approvals To Check Before Admission

There are several universities in India that offer the B.Tech in Automobile Engineering in Distance Learning mode. However, the distance learning mode is not valid, so you must be careful while selecting the right university. Only few universities have been permitted to offer the part-time B.Tech in Automobile Engineering course. Check the following affiliations before taking admission to this course in any university.

UGC - University Grants Commission  UGC-DEB - University Grants Commission-Distance Education Bureau AICTE - All India Council for Technical Education AIU - Association of Indian Universities

Eligibility for B.Tech Automobile Engineering in Distance Learning

Since this is a technical course, there is a set eligibility criteria for admission to the course. Applicants must fulfil the following requirements for admission to this course.

The applicant must have successfully completed class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the core subjects from a recognized board of education. For lateral entry in the 2nd year of the B.Tech Automobile Engineering course, the applicant must have a diploma of at least 3 years in Automobile Engineering. The applicant must be employed to pursue the B.Tech in Automobile Engineering in Distance Learning mode as this course is valid for working professionals only.

Fees for B.Tech Automobile Engineering in Distance Learning
