Maintaining this model is simple since the pool filter cartridge can be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled. If you want to do it correctly, there are certain procedures to follow.

Once you've gathered the necessary tools, schedule some time to clean the pool filter. It might take all night to clean, depending on the filter cartridge's soiled.

First, disconnect the pump and allow the filter tank to depressurize.

The pool pump must first be turned off. Be cautious about removing anything that might trigger the timer, and turn the pump back on if you use one. When cleaning the filter cartridge, you should turn off the pump.

Get the air out of there for your good. To release trapped air, gently rotate the air relief valve (often found on top of the filter).

In the Filter Tank, take out the Cartridge.

You need to take the filter apart, which means removing the clamps or whatever is keeping it together. Check the handbook if you can't figure out the opening mechanism.

Take the filter off the top. The Cartridge should be removed and laid away with care. Check it out to see whether it's broken or worn. A replacement should be purchased if the filter cartridge is damaged beyond repair or if cleaning no longer improves filtration quality.

Third, Scrub the Filter Cartridge for the Pool

Spray the Cartridge down with a spray nozzle attached to your garden hose, paying special attention to the spaces between the pleats. Click here if you're looking for a spray nozzle designed exclusively for sanitizing pool cartridge filters. Otherwise, a regular nozzle for a garden hose would do the trick.

Use a filter cartridge cleaner if the Cartridge needs cleaning. To get the best results, use the product as directed.

Cartridge filters may get clogged with algae, calcium deposits, sunscreen, iron, and other harmful substances if cleaned only occasionally. The cartridge must be soaked in the filter cleaning solution for 12 hours. The same filter cartridge cleaning will work for this purpose. Ensure the Cartridge is thoroughly submerged in the water and cleaning solution in a 5-gallon bucket.

Repressurize the System after Changing the Filter Cartridge

Put the Cartridge back into the filter and screw it shut. Clamps should be closed and the filter top replaced.

Restart the machine and open the air relief valve to release the pressure. Hold the valve open until water shoots steadily.

Make that the filter pressure gauge is within the typical operating range. If the PSI is off, either the filter wasn't reassembled properly, or the system is malfunctioning in some other way. Identify and fix the pool filtration system issue by performing a troubleshooting procedure.
