Retina Displays

In terms of specs, the new generation of retina display models are still under development so we can't really speak about what will happen by 2022.
Laptops with OLED Screens

I predict that by 2022, cars will be available with the ability to place and receive phone calls while the vehicle is moving. Additionally, cars will also offer the option of sending or receiving text messages. Apple and Google have both expressed interest in this type of technology. Some car manufacturers are including it as an option now. The head of Audi, Audi's sister company Lamborghini, and Mercedes-Benz have all expressed interest too. While phone integration isn't new on some models already, it's expected to become standard on many by 2022-- at least as an option when a new car is purchased from a dealer.
VR Gets Real
This year, VR is making strides with new companies coming on the scene and major tech leaders investing billions of dollars into this tech to make virtual reality more than just a novelty. Here are a few trends to expect in 2020-2022:

Phone Integration into Cars
Phones have already become an integral part of our lives, but even with the advent of smartwatches, they're still separate from our cars. However, new technology could be changing that by 2022. One way to integrate a phone into a car is to have the front windshield act as a smartphone display by using projectors that can be updated when the speedometer isn't being used. From there, the phone would stay visible and operational through voice commands or touch gestures on the glass.
