She is scorned and looked down atAlways disgraced and stigmatizedTreated as a worthless womanWho failed to save her husband’s life
Never invited to religious eventsAnd often shunned from social lifeHer presence considered inauspiciousIsolated, with no one to hear her cries
She has so much to share and sayBut her views are just not heardSo she stays a sad and lonely figureAnd swallows back all her words
They treat her shabbily foreverAnd restrict and confine her lifeAll through this they calmly forgetThat she is still very much alive
