Sneakers are usually very low maintenance however, they do need some fixing after a few months or so. Look at everyone around you, from school-going kids to moms, we all use them!

If you are a sneaker mom, we know you may already know these tricks however you may find a few new. Our first and foremost advice is to keep your summer and winter sneakers separated, all reasoning listed below.

Who doesn't want to stay comfortable? We know we do! Staying on your feet all day is a hard job, and a good pair can surely give some ease.

Here we will be listing down a few tips and tricks to keep your sneakers in the best possible shape:

CHOOSE THE MATERIAL ACCORDING TO SEASON:

We have shoes styled typically according to the season, and they need to be worn appropriately to perform accordingly. If you are looking for a summer sneaker, make sure to choose a breathable material.

A summer sneaker needs regular cleaning to last long. This is only possible if you pay attention to the details. Winter sneakers are however loaded with extra cushioning and weight to prevent the cold from reaching your feet.

This allows us to understand that both of these are designed particularly according to the demand of the weather. The material could be canvas, suede, textile blend, or even leather, it’s about how you choose to pair them.

LIGHTWEIGHT:

Pick a shoe that fits best, but also make sure you can walk in it without getting tired. A lightweight shoe will make it easier for you to walk for miles without getting tired.

You could have the best boots ever, but if they feel heavy on the feet, there is no point in having them. Platform sneakers are designed on a heavier side to make them stand out and last long.

CUSHIONING:

Comfortable shoes have a few things in common, they are a perfect size and cushioned in all the right places. Cushioning is the best support for your feet since they allow you to stay in your zone for a long time.

We know you love those cute black sneakersbut if you can’t walk in them all day, don’t waste your money!

STYLE THAT SUITS YOU BEST:

Save up some slack, and invest in the shoes that will last you long. Style your fits according to your wardrobe and its demands. For example, if you are into sports, invest in athletic sneakers.

These accurate decisions will save you a lot of time and money. We also suggest people go for neutral colors to multipurpose them.

LET THEM BREATHE:

If you are an everyday sneaker guy, we suggest giving them breaks in between. Go with something that fits you, but also let them breathe after a week or so.

This allows the air to pass through, and prevent any unwanted odor from sitting in them right away. Our feet have sweaty glands, and just like they need to breathe, so do our shoes.

PAY ATTENTION TO THE LACES:

Your sneakers have an important binding factor, the laces. Your laces can fall apart if you grip them too tight or let them crust with dirt. Wash your laces if you don't want to wash your shoes.

Washed-up laces will make your shoe look new and give a clean, well-put-together look.

WASH CAREFULLY:

Your shoes are sturdy when they are dry, and delicate when they are well. There are a lot of risks involved when you wash them since they can shrink or lose their strength.

Never wash your shoes in a washing machine. Don’t be lazy, get up and soak them in cold water. Let them rinse and scrub the area with a toothbrush that has dirt patches.

After you are done scrubbing them, change the water because the same water can turn them dusky. Prevent shrinkage by immediately stuffing and letting them dry under the sun.

STUFF THEM UP:

Stuffing your shoes after a good cleanse would maintain their shape. This also prevents the possible shrinking of the shoe. Stuffing retains its shape. Most of the shoes come with stuffing in their boxes but you can always use newspapers or Styrofoam.

ALTERNATE YOUR SHOES:

There is always another pair of shoes, switch up your shoes. Don't wear the same pair every single day. This will wear out your shoes before you even know. Alternating your shoes lets all of them breathe.

This trick also prevents your shoes from crusting up and losing their shape over time. We know you love your Nike Jordans, but wearing them every day will only guarantee foul odor and discomfort.
