Toyota has launched the 2020 Toyota Hilux in Thailand and has a more powerful 2.8-liter turbocharged diesel engine capable of producing 204ps and 500nm.The 2.4-liter turbocharged version has the same power. It is said that the combustion efficiency is improved even without increasing the power of the engine.

The exterior of the car has also changed a bit, giving a new visual experience. The biggest change of the top Hilux Revo Rocco is the front part of the car, with a more angular and obvious pair of LED headlights. The inspiration comes from the American Toyota Tacoma.

The new Hilux Revo Rocco also gets an outspread wheel arch, a black rearview mirror on the car, and a Rocco print on the car backup. There are also black 18-inch alloy wheels and white lettered tires. Other versions have more or less modified the front and rear of the car, though not as radical as Revo Rocco. Depending on the version, the new Hilux can have LED headlights or halogen headlights.

The car has an 8-inch touch screen, and the Entertainment system supports Apple CarPlay, but only in Thailand.

The Toyota Safety Sense ADAS system, which includes a pre-collision detection system, dynamic radar cruise control and lane departure warning, is the first to be installed in the Toyota Hilux. However, TSS can only be found in top-configured Revo Rocco.

The price range is also wide, starting at Bt544,000 for a Revo standard Cab and bt1,239,000 for Revo Rocco. However, these prices are not equivalent to the prices in the Malaysian market, because the country's tax policies are different.

Many people will be wondering when the car will go on sale in Malaysia. It's not yet known. Given that the Toyota Hilux is assembled locally in The Toyota factory in Shah Alam, it is speculated that the Toyota Hilux may make its debut in Malaysia in late 2020 or early 2021. So we can't get a local new Hilux anytime soon.

In an effort to spread the word about the new Toyota Hilux, the Toyota Motors recently released a new video AD on YouTube. Take a look at this 45-second clip.
