The Lich King is himself a terrifying figure that stands tall with his iconic sword and his clenched fist. The Lich King exudes the feeling of complete doom, which many gamers are familiar with through his character in the Warcraft series.

The Lich King stands with cocksure, his iconic knife in his hand, and his arm raised with a death-like salute.
Abominations
Small ghouls that are spawned during Pandemic game are replaced here by bigger, more menacing Abominations which appear on the board in Epidemic cards. If the Abomination causes enough damage to the hero, it will move closer and then attacks. If the hero is playing the Defend card, it stops the attack of the Abomination.
The Abomination figurines are amazing, and appear to be directly from the video game. They add a fresh experience to the game by substituting the overrun (or overrun) mechanism that is present in Pandemic which can create stress and anger for the players.
Heroes
The Heroes that are featured in the game are famous characters from Blizzard's legendary world, including Tirion Fordring, Thrall, Jaina Proudmoore, Lady Liadrin, Varian Wrynn as well as Sylvanas Windrunner. Every hero is equipped with two special abilities that can be useful in combat or in quests and are available for use once per turn.
Quests and fighting take place on the board with the combination of dice rolls as well as card draws. Abyssinian creatures move across the board, threatening the heroes. When they strike the Hero they cause damage.
