The Aloha Shirt Festival, which is held at the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa, is the equivalent of Fashion Week in Kona. The Kauai Chocolate and Coffee Festival takes place on October 15, 2023.

An annual cuisine festival is held in the quaint mediaeval town of Hanapp on the west coast of the island.
