USPS shipping labels are the perfect way to ship items through the mail. They are easy to use and can be printed out at home. Plus, they make it easy to keep track of your packages during transit. So if you need to mail something, be sure to use a USPS shipping label.

What is the USPS Shipping Label?

The USPS shipping label is a secure, individualized barcode designed to handle the mailing of any package. It is particularly effective for sensitive items that require delivery to an address or PO box, as employees can scan it at all stages of the shipment process.

The process behind creating this label is similar to other types of barcodes. A USPS representative must create the code and then print it on adhesive paper by a laser printer with cutting capabilities.

Benefits of USPS Shipping Label:

The USPS shipping label provides the benefit of lower prices than UPS and FedEx. This is because it reduces labor costs, allowing them to pass the savings to its customers.

Besides, several other benefits come with choosing USPS. Some of these include:

Lower Rates – The rates charged by USPS will always be lower than UPS or FedEx. This is because their shipping rates are not based on weight, but the distance traveled to get the cheapest rate possible for both themselves and its customers combined, while the other two companies' charges depend on the package's weight.

There are some exceptions to this rule, however. For instance, USPS has higher Priority Mail prices for packages that weigh more than 70lbs., plus oversized boxes. Larger packages tend to be more economical with FedEx or UPS.

Easy Way To Track Packages – With ShipStation, you can easily track all your shipments directly from your account at usps.com. Since USP tracks every one of their packages, you'll also know if they were delivered on time or if there was a delay. As such, USPS has set up tracking that is linked straight to its ShipStation account.

This helps the business owner monitor his or her shipments. With this benefit, employees can monitor and check shipments at different locations for efficiency and convenience. USP will also let you know who signed for delivery, so you'll know when they were delivered at their final destination.

Heavy Packages – If your packages weigh more than 70 pounds or exceed 130 inches in length and girth combined, they need to go through FedEx Priority Overnight service. This is because it's too large to travel with Express Mail and cannot be processed by any of its over 20 services available.

As such, these packages will be ineligible for USPS shipping labels.

No Hidden Fees – Unlike the other services, USPS has no hidden charges, such as fuel surcharges and other add-on features. This is because it does not overcharge like FedEx and UPS do, making it a more affordable option.

However, it should be noted that USPS does charge a $5 fee to mail out any package weighing less than 1lb. This applies even if you're filling up the box with air and mailing it to yourself. It's also worth mentioning that they don't acknowledge packages sent through international services such as FedEX International Priority or DHL Express.

Increased Visibility Of Business Supplies – USPS allows you to scan all of your packages through their tracking portal. This helps you monitor all your shipments and know when they get delivered to their final destination. The same applies if someone tries to tamper with or open any of your packages after delivery, it would be easily spotted because the shipment has already been scanned beforehand.

No Membership Fees – Shipping through USPS is completely free for ShipStation users who don't mind missing out on package weight and size dimensions restrictions. However, some requirements should be met to achieve this. You must sign up for one of its three available account types, which include; Stamps.com, Endicia Dazzle, and EasyPost. Plus, you'll need an EIN number before you can apply.

However, if your business falls under any of the following categories, then using USPS won't be free for you:

- If you have an International Business Number (IBN)

- If you're selling online and shipping more than 35 packages per week

It should also be noted that USPS is not available in all countries worldwide. As such, ShipStation may only offer UPS or FedEx as its default courier options. It's also worth mentioning that if your shipments are shipped outside of US borders, they will require a different service to get delivered since there are no international mail forwarding services offered via ShipStation itself.

However, this does not mean that one cannot use it with other carriers serving their intended locations. All you need to do is input the carrier's information.

Conclusion:

The USPS shipping label is a great way to send your packages through the mail. It's easy to use and can be printed right from your computer. Be sure to take advantage of the many benefits that the USPS shipping label has to offer.
