The main goal of UI UX design services  is to develop interfaces that not only improve the user experience , but are also accessible to everyone. Obviously, this goes beyond adding features like subtitles or night modes; It is a comprehensive approach that encompasses accessibility in all its facets.

It is for this reason that there are UX/UI experts specialized in accessibility, and who collaborate with professionals from different areas to ensure that people from minority groups or with disabilities have the same access to digital resources. Therefore, the work of these designers is essential to create truly accessible experiences, contributing to a more inclusive internet.

Accessibility: Concept and Relevance

Accessibility, increasingly mentioned in the context of large companies, involves ensuring barrier-free access to services and resources available to the general population. And, with the increase in Internet use, web accessibility has become more prominent, looking for ways to ensure equitable access to online services for all ages, abilities and knowledge. This became evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many services moved online, and the lack of accessibility on some websites meant that people with certain limitations were left without access to essential information and services.

 Easy and intuitive experiences

Visiting any website should not become a frustrating experience, therefore, we must keep in mind that the main objective is for the user to revisit the page and access it on a recurring basis. For example, information presented solely in graphics may be inaccessible to people with visual impairments if alternative text descriptions are not provided. Additionally, the need to use a mouse may exclude physically challenged users who rely on voice controls or special keyboards. Accessible design involves ensuring that everyone has equal access to a website's features.

The user as center

The first step to creating inclusive designs is to focus on the experience that the user will have, which means understanding their needs and putting ourselves in their shoes. Obviously, a designer is not expected to fully understand the experience of all groups, but it is her responsibility to investigate how to improve the accessibility of her designs.

Offering equivalent experiences and creating coherent and enjoyable designs are also key principles. This includes adapting designs for various devices and offering multiple options to accommodate user needs and preferences.

Ultimately, the key is to create content that is easily accessible, so that we can offer a space in which the user feels comfortable. Designers who focus on these two attributes experience growth in web traffic and a greater number of people interested in their website.
