The fallopian tubes are also called uterine tubes which are on either side of the uterus and connect the mature egg released from the ovary with the active sperm present in the uterus at that time. Due to the blockage in the fallopian tube, the egg cannot reach the uterus, and neither the sperm is able to reach the egg, due to which the process of reproduction remains incomplete. The incapability of this process also has many effects on pregnancy. The problem of blockage can be in one or both tubes and in 40% of cases the cause of infertility in women is fallopian tube blockage.
