Melissa Anne Villasenor, an American comedian, actor, impressionist, artist, singer, and musician, was born on October 9, 1987. Her other credits include voice work on OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes, Adventure Time, Family Guy, and TripTank. She was a former cast member of Saturday Night Live, joining in the 42nd season in 2016 and leaving at the conclusion of the show's 47th season in 2022.
According to writeupcafe, Villasenor was born on October 9, 1987, in West Covina, California. She is the daughter of Miguel "Michael" Humberto Villasenor and Lupe Peralta. She has roots in Jalisco and Aguascalientes, Mexico, and is of Spanish, Basque, and indigenous Mexican descent. (She also has 2% Sub-Saharan African DNA.) Villasenor and actor Mario Lopez, whose Mexican ancestry was also covered on the same Finding Your Roots episode, are genetically related to director Alejandro G. Iárritu. She went to the Catholic Ramona Convent Secondary School in Alhambra, California.
Villasenor made her debut doing a Sarah Silverman impression in the Family Feud: Political Edition skit on the October 1, 2016, episode of Saturday Night Live, along with Mikey Day and Alex Moffat.
