The “transition” to Mac after using just Windows for many years would be tedious in the beginning as a lot of things are different for a typical Windows user and inconvenient at the first sight. Mac needs to learn the different shortcuts and the different behaviour with unique steps used just while using the Mac.

It is easier to be more familiar with and much more efficient to use the Mac and it is found that many things are solved much better on the Mac than using Windows. Meanwhile, it takes me much more time on Windows to achieve the same things. Maybe a year or so later, using a mac makes windows too inconvenient for you to work.

It is highly dependent on what you want to do, the choice between Mac or Windows comes down to what you are comfortable with. The keyboard design for Windows PC and Mac is quite different with no Windows button, and no back button, or delete button on Mac functions different, no home buttons, page up, page down, or insert, little customization options, Very few product options and cannot replace any components in Macs.
