7 Days Everest Base Camp Trek Route:
A short trek to Everest Base Camp begins with a picturesque flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the mountain's entrance. We'll begin our ascent of Everest once we get to Lukla. The Everest Base Camp Short Trek's opening night will be spent at Monjo. The following day, we make our way up to Namche Bazaar, popularly known as the Sherpa people's capital. We'll travel today along the Dudh Koshi River and through Sagarmatha National Park's jungle. We will travel towards Tengboche, a sacred village with one of the oldest monasteries and the highest monastery in the world, after a night's stay in Namche. The Thuk-la pass, one of the highest, must be traversed after Dingboche (4,940 m). Our walk on the final day begins in Lobuche (6,119 m), which is close to the Khumbu glacier. We will reach Everest Base Camp after navigating the ice and stone obstacles. We will eat breakfast at Gorakshep before leaving our backpacks and moving toward Everest Base Camp.
Everest Base Camp Overview:
Well, the Everest Base Camp Trek is a 130-kilometer, or 65 km roundtrip, long-distance hike. The duration of this expedition is typically 12 to 14 days. Out of these, roughly 8 to 9 days are allocated for hiking, which entails moving through unstable terrain for 6 to 8 hours per day, or about 15 kilometers. You have a couple more days planned in between for acclimatization.
Even though 15 km in a day may not seem like much for a person in normal physical condition, the challenging terrain and unpredictably bad weather can make it more difficult for you to advance. This route can be completed by experienced trekkers as well as novices if the right precautions, such as gear and equipment, are taken. However, hiking for a while at a high altitude could get tiresome. As a result, the trekkers regularly have enough rest to gradually adapt to the high altitudes.
