This is a continuation of the previous article for designing your custom letterman jacket. After choosing the right material, color and front closure for your jacket, there are more important things you need to consider.
Inside lining
For the inside lining of your jacket, you can choose between cotton, polyester satin or quilted lining. Quilted lining is the warmest but it is bulky. On the other hand, polyester is durable, heavy and warm. Cotton is the most breathable material. It is also comfortable against your skin and provides warmth without making the jacket bulky.
Add colors to your jacket
Two colors are very common for varsity jackets but you can design yours in more colors, although we do not recommend using more than three colors. The simpler you keep your jacket, the better. Varsity jackets have been designed in colors of the wearer’s high school, organization or college. You might also want to consider using the primary color in the logo of your company as the main color for your jacket, with the sleeves taking the secondary color. If you do not have a secondary color then you can choose white.
Apart from the sleeves and body, you will also have to choose colors for your jacket’s pockets, zipper, knit base, inside lining, knit border, and knit lines and if you have chosen a hood design then you can consider the colors within or outside the hood.
Add designs
Now it is time to sit down with your custom clothing manufacturer and add designs to your jacket. After taking care of the nitty-gritty of the jacket, the fun part is the design. Unleash the artist in you and allow your creativity to shine as you add varsity badges, typography and patches to your jacket to keep it decorated.
Front center
At the front center of your jacket, where it’ll be in the limelight, you can type in your organization’s or college’s name. You can get at most twelve characters and select between fifteen different font styles. The appearance of your jacket can also be customized to either be in an arc or a straight line. Moreover, you can change the border color and the font which is set to black and white by default.
Pockets
The pockets of your jacket are a great place to showcase any academic, sports or commemorative patches. You can choose between putting symbols or letters above the pockets of your jacket and uploading your logo from your PC.
Sleeves
This is where the school or college logo comes in. you can type in your team name or your own name or add your graduation year or ad symbols.
Select size
The final step of designing your custom letterman jacket is to choose the right size. Choose the size you want your jacket to come in. there are different sizes you can choose from. Make sure you know the sizing of your manufacturer before making an order. XXX size may be a completely different size from different manufacturers.
