About OPC

• OPC Grade 53 

Grade 53 usually has a high compressive strength of 53 megapascals or MPa after 28 days of curing. This makes it the strongest of the different OPC grades. It is typically known for its high durability and resistance to harsh environmental conditions. OPC Grade 53 is suitable for construction projects when structural strength is critical. It is commonly utilised in precast and prestressed concrete elements. 

• OPC Grade 43 

OPC 43 Cement achieves a minimum compressive strength of 43 MPa after a period of 28 days of curing. Compared to 33 Grade Cement, OPC Grade 43 shows better resistance to cracking. This gives rise to a closed and smooth surface finish. It is suitable for structures with high to moderate load-bearing requirements.  

Due to its strength, OPC Grade 43 Cement is used to build dams, bridges, residential buildings, and other structures. It is also considered an excellent all-purpose grade that might be utilised in most building projects. 

• OPC Grade 33 

After 28 days of curing, OPC Grade 33 usually attains a compressive strength of 33 MPa. This grade of OPC is known for its durability in standard conditions. It is suitable for non-load-bearing structures of residential buildings. Due to its excellent workability, OPC Grade 33 is utilised for plastering and ordinary masonry projects where high strength is not necessary. 

This grade of grey cement may also be used for tile installations and other non-structural tasks, such as block and bricklaying.
