Brother Felix Y. Manalo laid the foundation for Iglesia Ni Cristo by insisting its doctrines be based solely on Scripture, worshipping God alone rather than any man. He formally established the organization on July 27, 1914, when it was officially registered in the Philippines, and his emphasis on biblical teaching, regular worship, and spiritual discipline became the hallmark of the church he led.
