Menopause typically occurs between the ages of 45 and 55, when the ovaries reduce the production of estrogen and progesterone. The decrease in these hormones leads to a variety of symptoms that differ from woman to woman. For some, the transition may be smooth, while for others, it can be physically and emotionally draining. Hormonal imbalance affects the brain, skin, bones, metabolism, and reproductive system, leading to issues like night sweats, irritability, vaginal dryness, and decreased libido.
