Making time for a morning yoga session can significantly improve the rest of your day. Here are our top five suggestions to get you up and onto your yoga mat.
It might be challenging enough to get out of bed in the morning, let alone get up even earlier to practice yoga! Even 20 minutes of practice, though, can significantly improve how you feel for the remainder of the day. Here is our best advice for beginning a yoga practice in the morning.

1. Be ready.

Even though the passage of time is always precisely the same, it frequently feels shorter in the morning, especially when you have a full day ahead. A quick morning practice, though, can help make the rest of the day feel much more manageable.

2. RPP: Keep It Simple

This is just the beginning (if you have kids, of course!). Reduce the number of activities you perform before to practicing to just three: get up, use the restroom, and perform the exercise.

Make sure you are warm because it will be harder to get out of bed on a chilly winter morning without it. The best part about practicing yoga at home is that as long as you can move, it doesn't really matter what you're wearing—even flannel pajamas and your partner's cozy sweater!

What will benefit me more? is a good question to ask yourself while you're in the middle of deciding whether to get out of bed after snoozing your alarm for the third time.

Hit snooze if you're beyond worn out; additional sleep is probably just what you need. Additionally, the benefits of a few extra minutes in bed could not last as long as the residue of calm, openness, and harmony.

5. Use your body to lead, not your Mind

If your thoughts start racing as soon as you wake up, it is a waste of time to reflect on yesterday's events or the tasks you have to complete today. You might decide to lead with your body instead. But you let your body take control. Likewise, bring your mind with you.
