A turbine engine is an internal combustion engine that converts fuel into mechanical energy. It is commonly used in aircraft and ships but can also be found in power plants, where it drives a shaft that powers the propeller or other machinery. These Turbine engines for sale may be classified as turbojets, turbofans, turboprops, or turboshafts, depending on their location in the design cycle, thrust requirements, and fuel system facility. Turbine engines are usually simple machines with few moving parts; they do not have carburetors or fuel pumps; instead, they rely on air intake from outside the engine housing through small holes directly into an enclosed stream of air called an airstream drum which then feeds accelerated air over individual cylinders in sequence one at a time (hence "trumpet" shaped), a method called sequential ignition, means no water cooling system is needed, so they do not need cooling fins within each cylinder, but instead, passive cooling tanks are typically located above the engine's fan blades and below its compressor housing.
