Chung Il-jung's Lee Hyun-min secured a bronze medal at the World Junior Boxing Championships.
Lee Hyun-min secured a bronze medal at the 2023 IBA World Junior Boxing Championships in Yerevan, Armenia, with a 5-0 decision over Tajikistan's Kamolov Chakhongir in the -46 kg quarterfinals. It was the first time in 10 years since 2013 that a South Korean boxer won a medal at the World Junior Boxing Championships.
With a gold medal at this year's national championships and silver medals at the Association Championships and the National Youth Games, Hyun Min Lee is considered one of the top lightweight prospects in Korean boxing and a future national team member.
"It was my first international competition, so I was very nervous and shaky, 먹튀검증 but I'm happy that my hard work paid off. I want to play the rest of the semifinals and the final without any regrets."
Lee will face Magomedov Islam (RUS) in the semifinals on December 1 for a spot in the final. Fellow -70kg competitor Park Tae-san (Busan Chego) will also compete in the semifinals on November 30.
